Reimagining Global Learning through Improvement Science
Too often, we rush to solutions without fully grasping the complexities of global learning environments. This interactive workshop invites international education professionals, particularly those working in education abroad, to address contemporary challenges in their programs and practices through improvement science principles. Participants will collaboratively brainstorm pressing problems of practice in education abroad, select one to investigate in depth, and explore how improvement science can visually uncover systemic and ground-level causes of the chosen issue. By focusing on early-stage improvement science processes, this workshop provides education abroad practitioners with a framework to bridge the gap between understanding challenges in global learning and developing actionable strategies for meaningful, sustainable transformation. This foundational step is essential to reimagining and advancing impactful, equitable education abroad experiences.
