The NCAIE Board invites all those interested in leading a conference session or workshop to submit a presentation proposal. Read on to learn more about the benefits and process of proposing and facilitating a workshop or session at the NCAIE Annual State Conference.

Presentation Options
Pre-Conference Workshops and Conference Sessions should be created around a shared topic that falls within or spans across NCAIE’s professional areas:
- Community Colleges (CC)
- Education Abroad (EA)
- Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCU)
- International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS)
- Recruitment, Admissions & Preparation (RAP)
- Relevant to all International Education Professionals (PAN-NCAIE)
Pre-Conference Workshops
Held on Thursday, March 6, 2025
Pre-conference workshops are half-day opportunities that are typically four hours in length, allowing presenters and colleagues to dive deep into a shared topic. Presenters are able to use an interactive format allowing for group thought, discussion, invention, application, and more.
Choose to lead a workshop if you have a shared topic that will help attendees gain valuable, practical professional skills that will be learned best through the extended timeframe, limited distractions, and a collaborative & interactive format.
Note that attendees must pre-register for workshops and pay the workshop registration fee, designated by the NCAIE board.
Conference Sessions
Held on Friday, March 7, 2025
Conference sessions take place on Friday during the all-day Annual State Conference. Attendees will choose from a range of session topics during concurrent session blocks.
Sessions typically last 55 minutes in length and allow presenters to introduce a topic, present research, showcase advancements in the field or in their individual or office practice, introduce tools and skills, host a forum for collaborative thought and discussion, or more.
Note that attendees do not pre-register for conference sessions and presenters will not be provided a list of attendees. Conference sessions are included in the 2025 NCAIE Annual State Conference Registration Fee.

Proposing Your Session
Session & Workshop proposals are submitted online using the link below. You do not have to have the presentation ready to submit the workshop or session proposal. If your proposal is approved for the 2025 Annual State Conference, you’ll be able to finalize your presentation and materials prior to the conference.
Proposals are due on December 18, 2024 but feel free to submit your proposal early.
Priority proposal deadline is December 2, 2024.
