Job Description

Marketing and Communications Manager

Term: Three Years
Appointment: By State Chair

Qualifications: 

Must have two years or more experience in international education. Should be familiar with international education issues. Demonstrated experience with communication and marketing. Must have experience with graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign, and Adobe Photoshop. Must be comfortable using WordPress (or similar platform) for website development. Should demonstrate commitment to the concept of professional  development through participation in conferences and workshops.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend NCAIE Board Meetings (four per year) representing the international education interests of professionals and community volunteers in North Carolina.
  • Create and maintain the NCAIE brand/logo for use on the association website and NCAIE event materials.
  • Develop and implement NCAIE communications strategy, paying careful attention to the documentation and scheduling of annual emails pertaining to various NCAIE-sponsored events (e.g., event invitation em
    ails, proposal submission requests).
  • Create targeted NCAIE event marketing materials in collaboration with responsible board members for annual events (e.g., Global Student Leadership Conference, Annual State Conference, Re-entry Conference).
  • Work with board members to develop and maintain engaging and appropriate website content.
  • Assist Webmaster in the maintenance of the NCAIE website as needed.
  • Assist the State Chair and Chair-Elect in identifying potential candidates for succession of Communications and Marketing Manager position.
  • Attend the NCAIE State Conference.
  • Attend the NAFSA Region VII and NAFSA National conferences, if possible.
